Introduction

Pilates is an easy-to-use sport that requires little emotional investment and allows you to relieve stress while exercising at a level of intensity that suits your preferences.

How Anaïs discovered Pilates

Since childhood

During my childhood, I did a lot of sports that required flexibility and physical strength. When I was 11, I gave up ballet to take up gymnastics. I was passionate about it and would also do exercises and acrobatics at home while watching YouTube videos. While searching for exercises, I came across Pilates videos like her :https://www.youtube.com/@izzy.samuel , which I really enjoyed, so I have continued to practice Pilates at home ever since.

Why I love pilates

I like Pilates because it’s a simple sport that has many benefits. You can do a 20-minute session or an hour-long session, it’s up to you. If you do it at home (Pilates mat), you can easily manage your time and the areas you want to work on. It’s an individual sport, but you can share it if you go to a club and practice with a coach and other students.

A desire to grow for Pilates

Although I have been doing it for several years, I have always been content to do it at home. I even incorporated equipment into my routine, but I never tried Pilates Reformer or Lagree, which are types of Pilates that use machines and are very intense. Generally, this type of Pilates is practiced in clubs because of the equipment required. I had never tried it before because clubs were rare, but now that Pilates is trendy, it’s true that there are many centers.I think that trying at least one session would be interesting and would allow me to discover a new facet of this sport.

Pilates is much more than just a trend

The benefits of pilates

It remains above all a sport, which can be free if you do it at home, but can also be very expensive if you join a club.

This sport helps strengthen muscles in many areas of the body: the back, posture, arms, legs, neck, knees, and stomach.

Personally, I have found that it helps me stay toned and gives me a sculpted body and a strong core. It also allows me to find myself and have a little time for myself without stress, where I feel active and rested.

Why pilates is trendy ?

It’s true that this sport used to be a bit niche, but with the rise of the clean girl trend on social media over the last two years, Pilates has really taken off. It was considered, along with matcha, to be a trendy, girly movement with machines and aesthetic outfits like Lululemon and Alo. It’s a sport that remains graceful but intense, perfectly matching the aesthetic projected by the clean girl.

Safety in individual sports

Important to know the basics in pilates

As with all individual sports, Pilates does not exclude safety. It’s great to have the freedom to do it wherever and whenever you want when you do it at home, for example, but it’s like the gym: without a coach, you can perform the exercises incorrectly, get no results, or even injure yourself. You have to be careful when doing it alone and make sure you are well informed. When joining a club, visit several clubs and/or try out the sessions to form your own opinion of the classes.

Conclusion

Pilates has enormous physical and psychological benefits. It hasn’t become trendy for nothing. Don’t see it as a fad, but rather embrace it as a sport that may be right for you. At the gym, at home, on a mat or reformer pilates, there are several options available to you, allowing you to tailor your sessions to your liking. I am delighted to have discovered this sport at a young age and to have progressed in it, as I can see the benefits. I find confidence in pilates and wellness in general , that’s why I love to combine with activities that make me feel good like cosmetics for exemple : https://www.seostudents2026.com/clara-and-her-growing-interest-in-cosmetics/
